Bumble & Bee
Via the power of social media, Twitter in this case, I was introduced to Debs who is the owner of the lovely award winning Bumble & Bees cafe in the Manor Gardens, Exmouth.
I soon arranged to pay her a visit with my box of laser cut goodies and my 3D cat (thats another story). Over some top quality coffee we discussed a few potential projects and decided that menu boards for the cafe would be a good one to start on.
I crossed her palm with some freebie key rings and an etched quarry tile and headed back to the FabLab.
After a few variations and some toing and froing on the best way to attach the menu I came up with a solution. ThisĀ involved using a hole punch on the top edge of the menu and attaching it via office binder clips or hairy string for the rustic look.
With the logo etched slightly proud on the top edge of the birch ply board the design was complete.
Well almost, a last little embellishment was needed in the shape of some Moose Allain artwork, namely a little Bee that Bumble & Bee use as a logo.
With that added, it was all systems go and I fired up the laser for a mass etching and cutting session.
Another happy customer!
