Cardboard Cat

Being the proud owner of a Bengal cat and a crazy cat man I decided to replicate him in cardboard. The hardest bit was measuring from his nose to his bum in order to get an accurate life size model! Cornering a large Bengal with an uncoiled tape measure is a dangerous pastime!

Using 123D Make software I built the cat and exported it out to 2D cardboard panels. The following few evenings were spent aligning the parts using a paperclip and gluing them all together.

With all the card corrugations running the same way, at certain angles the cardboard cat sculpture becomes see through, quite a cool effect!
